How to manage Marketplace visibility for experiences
This article will guide you how to control if, and where, your experiences can be seen on the Marketplace, as well provide instructions how to quickly, and efficiently manage the inclusion or exclusion of experiences in contracts with resellers.
What is Marketplace visibility, and what is it for?
The Marketplace visibility feature is a setting in the Connectivity section of the experience editor. It gives you greater control over your product distribution that allows you to:
- Reserve specific experiences for certain resellers
- Keep internal experiences or combo child experiences private
- Maintain a clean, professional Marketplace appearance
- Manage experience inclusion or exclusion in contracts without sending amendment proposals to resellers
How to set up Marketplace visibility
- Navigate from the main menu to Experiences, then Experiences overview.
- From your Experiences list, open the one you want to manage.
- Navigate to Connectivity in the Experience settings.
- Under Select visibility for [product name], choosing Public, Unlisted, or Private determines if an experience will or will not be visible on the Marketplace.
If you choose
- Public
- All experiences are public if you do not have default contract terms
- The experience is visible to everyone in the Marketplace
- Resellers can discover it in your profile card and in a product search
- The experience appears in Discover Products, provided it passes the health check
- Unlisted
- The experience won't appear in Marketplace search results
- Resellers you work with can still view and sell the experience when it’s included in their contract terms
- The experience is not visible in Discover Experience or on your Marketplace card
- Private
- The experience is only visible to you
- The experience won't appear in Marketplace listings
- The experience will be instantly removed from all contracts
- If a return product is changed to Private, the other leg will also become private
Important: Any changes to the visibility settings are effective immediately when updated.
How to manage contract terms for your experiences
In the Connectivity section, you'll see a list of contract terms that include this experience.
Here you can
- Add or remove your experiences from your Marketplace contract terms
- Make these changes instantly without sending amendment proposals to your resellers
By default, all experiences currently in contract terms for suppliers will be set as Public, and all others will be Unlisted.
ℹ️ If you makes changes on the Contract terms page and follow the steps to add a new experience here or update a contract here, you will still need to manually send the reseller an amendment proposal.
What do I do if I don’t have any contract terms yet?
If you haven't set up any contract terms yet, in the Connectivity section, you'll see an option to Create your first contract terms.
Clicking Create your first contract term! takes you to the Contract Terms page, where you can create your terms for resellers.
